days and starlit nights await celebrants to the new millenium's first Carnaval as
they have for over 100 years in Mazatlan.
Great fanfare and festivity continue as the celebrations and parades start on Saturday and
continue through Tuesday. Musical shows, mechanical rides, arts and crafts shows and
programmed and spontaneous dance halls add to the glamour and celebration. Majestic floats transporting Carnaval kings and queens parade on Sunday and Tuesday from the Viejo Mazatlan along Olas Altas Boulevard to the new tourism zone. Over half a million people delight in seeing these colorful events.
