Reception at the Hotel in Patzcuaro. Dinner included.
Sunday, October 31 -
Santa Clara del Cobre, Lake Patzcuaro, Janitzio Island
After breakfast depart to Santa Clara del Cobre - famous for the copper work done for
centuries by local artisans. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon tour to
Janitzio Island in Lake Patzcuaro. On the way back to the lake shore at Patzcuaro, observe
the "show" of the local fishermen with their butterfly shaped nets. Dinner with
live music at hotel and lodging.
Monday, November 1 -
Uruapan,
Tzurumutaro, Tzintzuntzan
After breakfast, depart to Uruapan to enjoy the "Eduardo Ruiz" National Park
which extends across the river where natural waterfalls and fountains are surrounded by a
tropical rainforest. Lunch. Evening at leisure to visit the local arts and crafts
tianguis. At night, visit the Cemeteries of Tzurumutaro and Tzintzuntzan to witness the
unique "Dia de los
Muertos" tradition. Return
at midnight to the hotel.
Tuesday, November 2 -
Patzcuaro
Breakfast at the hotel. End of our services for this tour. Additional Optional tours and
services available.
